I love watching airplanes waiting to take off.. Its like watching decent people patiently queueing =)
Day 1:
- Jakarta
Arrived at Jakarta airport and straight headed to Bandung... Mom got so freaked out when the plane took off and landed at KLIA and Jakarta. The airport is not big but ok =).. Our tour guide: Pak Taufiq... Interesting history of Jakarta.. There's alot of tols from Jakarta to Bandung -.-...
Most of Jakarta people are Jawa and from other parts of Indonesia tribe. There's a lot of apartment here because of the ovetflowing population in Jakarta.
WTF! RM2+/sms!! Just thought you should know, the marketing advertisement on the elite areas does not mention about shopping sales but mentions the month of price increasement.. I guess the egoes of the rich and the famous here are way above their heads!
*Going through rural areas of Indonesia reminds me of Africa =). Owh and they have a place call Subang aswell haha!*
- Bandung
First thing you need to know is that when you bargain for something, you must buy it, or the seller will be pissed.. Lol... Second, the only thing cheap at Bandung, is the silks and0 clothes materials for baju kurung... The others, are almost the same price after you convert em to RMs. And so I bought 4 boxers for the price of RP160,000 (after bargaining!)..! That's RM16 something cent each! Malaysia is way cheaper!
We checked in at Naval Hotel and damn the room is nice, comfortable and spacious! Awesome gile! Had dinner at Karamba and the foods are AWESOME! But honestly, the traffics here are way crowded and way busier than KL!
Few facts I picked up along the trip:
*99% of Bandung people wear flats
*People do as they please, eg. Beggers simply get on board the bus and starts playing guitar while going round asking for moneuy. And they hand out flyers in the middle of the crawling jam!
*Motorcycles loves to honk at cars and buses! HAHAHA!
Day 2:
- Bandung
We had our breakfast at the hotel cafe and the porridge is good but the white bread with margerine and strawberry spread was the best...
We went to volcano site Tangkuban Perahu and the view was spectacular up the mountain eventhough the sulphate smell was like rotten egg lol... And me and mom bought alotta begs for people back at Malaysia.. =).. And bought few other stuffs =)..
Then we headed to Rumah Mode where all the branded clothes are affordable compared to Malaysia (atleast that's how I see it)... But I didn't buy any cause I was saving for sayang's shirt =)..
Lunch at a Malaysian restaurant called Maya Lesung Batu. Just the normal servings but it made me bloat!
So after our lunch, we went to this Pasar Baru which is like Malaysia's Sungai Wang.. So crowded and so full of cotten and silk materials... Sucks. The are shoes too but lame ones. Didn't get the chance to go to higher levels cause mom used all our time bargaining x(!
Dinner at this fancy and delicious restaurant called 'Paris - - - -' meaning, I don't know the full name. Lol.... And then we headed home and dad break the bad news that we're not going to Trans Studio =(! SUCKS!
Day 3:
- Bandung
Had white bread for breakfast, like the day before and then we all took pictures all together =)..
Were suppose to be shopping since we're at a factory outlet area but unfortunately, there were just not enough budget. So I can just watch! And seriously, I just hate travelling with the parents. Aku mls nk bukak cite!!! Selfish I tell you!!
After that, we went to Toko 3 where they sell all the quality jeans (so I was told) and expensive too. I was so clumsy that I drop 2 stack of folded shirts, tripped and fell off the staircase and accidently dragged and dropped a mannequin that was stuck to my bag. Embarrassing! Didn't buy anything. Indonesian jeans are just too small of a size! Even for size 31!
We had our lunch at some place I don't know the name cause the fish they served, smelled like old fish. Yish! Turn off gile and plus they served plain water in a SMALL GLASS and took away the refill jar! DAMMIT!
The Rosli's separated from the rest after lunch cause dad wanted to stay here a little longer!! Benci gle! I'd rather travel with the group when on holiday with the family cause there are more laughters and fun.. This family is full of stress and seriousness! So yea, we checked in at Karang Setra Hotel... Our driver, Pak Aziz...
For dinner, we went to this specially heavenly place called Kampung Daun... MasyaAllah in at a mountain and the whole place is green =) and breezy with small waterfall at the corner... It felt so homely with the Japanese table and the cushion and the pillow and the waterfall and the damn delicious foods!
Day 4:
- Bandung
In the morning after check out, we went back to Kampung Daun and The Peak to snap pictures and enjoy scenery. Then we headed to Jakarta. Bought alot of oleh2 for the family and sahey's family..
- Jakarta
Arrived at Jakarta after 3 hours drive + jam! Checked in at The Traveller's Hotel and rested ourselves for tomorrow's jourey...
Day 5:
- Jakarta
Had dinner at the hotel cafe and then off to nearest bank to withdraw and exchange money..
Pak Aziz took us for a tour at all the houses of the Indonesian VIPS.. Two of the many that you all are familiar with are Suharto and Obama's school and their relatives and private houses.. Damn I tell you its huge and vaowww! Haha!
Then we had lunch and headed to Mangga 2.. Let me tell you that from a 15mins journey, ended up to 2 hours of journey because of traffic! No police traffic cause vehicles were all over the place and no one wanted to give in! So turned out, we only bought a luggage and headed home cause it was already late... Sigh... Missed the beach trip...
Day 6:
- Jakarta
If I were to come here again, I will for sure visit Pasar Tanah Abang.. They say its a wholesale heaven but I dont know how much truth in that cause I didn't went in. It was just supercrowded!
After mom's shopping, we headed back to Malaysia and said goodbye to Pak Aziz and the beautiful green part of Indonesia =)..
And thats about it =).. Will put pictures in my next post...
*Malaysia panas!! And bahang!!*
Owh and there was this one late night at Traveller's Hotel, I was gonna wake Syikin up but I end up minding my own business after I saw a short, old, fat and hunchback lady standing right beside Syikin's bed. Mmg mcm puki!
